Welcome to Creative Aging Pinellas, an affiliate of the     National Center for Creative Aging.

Our mission is to promote collaboration between the Arts and Aging Services to enhance the health and well-being of older adults in Pinellas County, Florida.

One project is an online database of visual, performing, media, and literary arts resources in Pinellas County.  Arts and aging resources complete a brief survey.  Use Find a Resource to search this database and connect with people who work in arts and aging.

Painting at DFAC

Benefits for professionals. You may use Find a Resource to find new partners for your arts programs and find gaps that you could help fill. For example, your agency may serve North Pinellas and people are asking for glass blowing classes. The closest Resource is offered in South Pinellas. You could contact this Resource to find out if they want to expand or help you set up such a class in your area.

Benefits for older adults.  Using Find a Resource, the database will help a 55 year old woman who wants to find a pottery making class within 10 miles of her home or a 70 year old man who wants to find a music teacher anywhere in the County. Or you can find out how to contact a teaching artist or find out where they offer classes or if they offer in-home classes.  You will find out who offers such a program or service and see the contact's email, phone number, and website on a map. You can print directions to each location.
